India and the Netherlands share a passion for sports: field hockey, cricket, football and... (wait for it) ICE SKATING! ⛸❄️

Meet Vishwaraj Wish Jadeja, also known as Vish, the Netherlands-based Indian ice skater.

Vish is an Ahmedabad-born long distance ice skater who has lived in the Netherlands for over 10 years now. Together with his coach Wim Nieuwenhuizen, he trains to realize his dreams. Besides his hectic training-schedule, Vish supports the small but promising ice skating community in India and promotes sports in general, as it is beneficial for health, comradery, and partnership. He has been testing out locations for ice skating on natural ice in India to make marathon speed skating possible.

Vish sees skating as the 'ice breaker' for societal conversations and shares his story to inspire youngsters - whether Dutch or Indian - to use their talents to the fullest.
